Second Hand Marching Band

The start of 2009 has been the best musical start to any year I have ever had. I have been introduced to so many mind blowing artists from Scotland alone that I keep prodding myself with a jittery poke to make sure that I am actually hearing them with every ounce of me.The Second Hand Marching Band (SHMB) are part of this family. Ironically, a family themselves as they are made of about 22 musicians that play every instrument that you could think of. They epitomise the term folk, yes, there is the genre but then there is that meaning of warmth, community, love and passion.

Pony of the space

Spacepony are another little Italian anomaly. Psyche diggers, walls ans walls of effects, plastic toys at hand, live music syncronized with home-made video. It’s not a chance that they’re not so secretly friends with Dr. Wayne Coyne. Spacepony the band are our little Italian “Flaming Lips“. But with so much less audience. Who knows. Maybe the band of “Yoshimi” started this way… Here they are playing at “Bronson“, one of the most popoular venue in Italy. The bass player is rulez!
