From Atari to Nintendo
Let yourself go on the coolest blips and hooks of electroing music, find the mood and dive yourself into the synthetic theme-park of Alec Empire Music. The Pop Leviathan “Death Trap In 3D” is a rushed journey into energy in sounds, as the continuous drum loops gives form to an hysterical mantra for the saddest acid dance of ever. “Welcome to the state of the Beast: to eat and to be eaten, it feels so bad, and so much worst than pain”.
That’s probably what’s like to be in a “It’s complicated” love affair. Heart beating restless up and down with no peace. “For your love, it feels so sad”.
“New man” brings along the coolest sounds of the 80′s even without too much remaking or inventions. Billy Idol meets Gary Neuman. “The Golden Foretaste Of Heaven” leave some space to the most addictive Nintendo sounds, all along with the same frenzy, and sometimes you got the sensation of having Beck remixing Paul McCartney’s “Temporary Secretary”.
“On Fire” best track of the pack. Very Bowie in its own way.
Strange to say, sounds doesn’t come from a laptop left in a room, but are recoded on an ancient abandoned underground factory to give more strength to echoes and effects. In the end ““The Golden Foretaste Of Heaven” is a good album, full of energy, clever editing and killer sounds. Just forget about the standoffish singer. He probably think he’s tough. It’s only stiff.
Can’t imagine his gigs. Everything will eventually look like an anxious game on a Laserdrom. Ex band-mate Nic Endo from “Atari Teenage Riot” lends an hand to this umpteenth polythene guy during his live shows. Possibly people is expected to run.
