Burning! Bright!
Could you cound how many indie-bands are now playing outhere with a tiger in their names? There are some obscure london guys that were “Shining in the Wood“, (San Fran)Cisco’s “Paper Tiger“, an electronic band that is even “Half Tiger“. Only in Italy we’ve two bands called “Tiger! Shit! Tiger! Tiger!” and “Tiger, Tiger!” (not to be confused with “Tiger!” Tiger!” from Atlanta).
“Tiger, Tiger!”, the Italian band, started as an acoustic duo thanks to the talent of Margot and Federico.
They soon were joined by Cisco from “Sunday Morning” shifting from bass to drums and a lot of friends that helped the guys on the recording of their debut for MyHoney Records “11 am”. (Probably the time when Cisco wakes up).
This “Microfilm” is dealing with a sort of small semi-acoustic set at “Maison Lulù“, that is quickly becoming and important venue for its saturnday evening mini-sets while people are sharing Porto, Spritz, Beer and other pre-dinner alcoholic drinks. During the show the band was reached by “Do Not Cry For The Country Boy“, ex “Sunday Morning” guitarist. It was good to see Cisco and Andrea Cola back together. Get a taste.
