Popkids Of The World Unite!
“Popkids Of The World Unite!”. That’s the hymn of a young indie band from UK. Their shout became a flag for popsters and young music fan all over Planet Hearth, getting more popoular than the japanese “Boys, be ambitious” or the lennolesque “Give peace a chance”. Indie music is the skiffle of the new millennium, and anyone can get some equipment, record the lowest quality EP ever made, and spread their musical seed on the net all over the planet.
Twenty years from now this era will definetly leave its mark on the pages of pop hystory. Quoting Elvis Costello: “When you go to school, son, you’ll read my story in history books. / Only they won’t mention my name”. The name behind the curtains it’s “Horowitz” for sure, and we’re not dealing with the f* classic piano player. I can’t speak for tomorrow, but nowadays they got fan.
A track among the others got my attention: “Chileell Olympia” sounds like one of the best tracks ever made by “Apples in Stereo“. All the rest just the average indie soup. Just what we needed to warmth this winter a little bit.
