See Emily Play
One remarkable part of the soundtrack of my life is made by the songs of a very inspiring and sensitive singer called Emiliana Torrini. Since hers delicious trip-hop sounds of her international debut with “Love in the time of science”, I began to become addicted to that direct and intime songs that soon became part of some of the most important moments of my life, starting from my 2000 sweet summer listening to“Unemployed in Summertime“, to our indie period with “Fisherman’s Woman” and now “Me and Armini“, tryin to define the essential bones of perfect pop-ballad icons in a classic Nick Drake style.
Last time I had a talk with Emiliana was after her last Italian tour gig in Ferrara, in a very evocative middle-age ancient location. I had the chance to see her live once again promoting the album “Me and Armini”, that is becoming more and more additictive at each spin after the doubtso of a first litsening.
First time I heard a song from Emiliana I was hit by her voice, so similar to another singer I used to love: her countryman Bjork. This time I also had the pleausure to see her playing not only with a perfect live band, but moreover with Sugar Cubes drummer in it! Thank you for the great time Emiliana. That old simple indie dress still suites you well.

I was really touched by the way you talk about Emiliana Torrini, she is very talented: I love her voice and her ways to experiment with sounds, very much like my favourite singer of all time (Björk).
Bless Iceland for their beautiful and talented women!
