Ever wondered what would have happened to Weezer if they were born on Gothenbug? They’d probably got along with coloured bubbles, arpeggios and trumpets, and they would have changed their name in “The Medalist”. Yet Another Cloudberry Production (029), emo-lyrics-oriented attitude, half-lowed Riveresque voice of Jonas Hägglund and a sweet tooth for easy catchy pro-anthem melodies:tracks like “From time to time” and “Lanslides” could be some distant Swedish well mannered cousins for “Keep Fishing” and “Island in the sun” with distant echoes of classic american 70′s rock.
The Medalist enjoy long strolls, rice cookies and smelling like cigarettes. Send them love.
