First We Take Manhattan hail from Glasgow and create a sound as soothing as a Pacific sunset.
Al Carlisle and Amanda (Panda) combine in a way that is choral unison. These two artists combine to create something requisite. Acoustic, waterfalls of guitars and sweeping vocal harmonies that are so intricate in places you are taken initially to a place where you think you can predict the rest of a song. Pretend We’re Illuminoids
… and a certain point when time met space in a squashed orange juiced on a scrambled egg, the so easy and yet queasy indie music – so tired of covers and tribute, having played “There’s a light that never goes out” and “Disco 2000″ for the 2000th time – discovered the so called “Mesh up” era, where classics and hits collided together providing the songs new thrills and highlights. Illuminoids are one of the most representative heros of that scene. We had a little chat with them.
