Perturbazione
Perturbazione is one of the most acclaimed indie bands in Italy. And also one of the bands I’ve seen performing live more auften. What I like the most of this band is that each time you’re going to their show you have always to be ready to expect some nice surprise, like particoular covers or strange versions of their songs. This time the surprise was… the whole show!
The performance took place in a theater. Lights faded down, curtains went out. The band (two guitars, a bass, drum and a cello) were ready on the stage, back to the pubblic, facing a big screen, holding their instruments and ready to play. Tommaso Cerasuolo, usually the singer of the band, cheered the crowd to fade in a sort of wooden box. And he starte to… sketch! The show was an instrumental suite on the ordinary life of a little character, who took life on the synchronized notes of Perturbazione, while Tommaso were “the voice” of the band… skatching!
I really hope this will be a step forward for the band, who ad the chance to expand their orizon far beyond the stereotypes of the structures of their plain pop songs. This is a great opportunity to lead the Italian band to a new important chapeter of their musical life.
