The Garden of Forking Path
I was glad I decided to follow “Stones of Venice” on their last show. They played in an old country house in Gambettola owned by Circolo360, a local club fed by the town administration. But they were not alone at all! The night was the second edition of a special gathering of artists called “The Garden of Forking Path”, and they shared the stage with Aidan Smith (UK) and the heavenly Ghost Bees (Canada). A rock band throwing at us their wall of sound, a pop-cabaret duo for piano and hukulele and a couple of spooky sisters with their traditional north-european middle age folk oriented ballads on symbiothic voices. In few words: they were so unlikely that it was de facto a festival! The moment of the night was stolen by Aidan singing a traditional song in perfect Italian, while the very moment the sisters from Canada started to sing playing their ukulele it was perfectly clear that there were no doubt about it: it was magic.
Here’s some pics and clips of the night.
