Arnoux And Icy Demons
“We’re right in the center of this town, in the middle of a big park right in a theater. I come from Chicago, I Don’t know about you, but this sounds unbelievable to me.”
of Facing a crazy weather with deep hard rain, thunders and lightings making the car consolle some sort of 3d version of some wako full screen plugin for winamp, we managed someway to park near Locomotiv, in Bologna, to join another great music show. The show was introduced by some solo experiments by the main guy from My Awesome Mixtape, basically a bloke braying some untuned raps in minor chords pushing button on a portable consolle. Not my cup of tea. I came to dive in the great blue ocean of vibrant suggestions (there’s a clear reference to the cover of their album) by the band called Arnoux, from Maniago. I suddently loved that band, since it’s mostly formed by another great band I used to adore called “Ten Thousand Bees“, more rocky, prog, guidar and pixies oriented than the new avant-indie project. You guys should have to check this band live. Not only the debut album is a crystal fluid masterpiece, but the six members of Aroux are able somway to share a unique deamy atmosphere directly from the stage.
Then was the time of “Icy Demons“, yet another impressive band from Chicago. Tecnicque, mixed influences and genders, a real meltinpot of sounds and inspirations, completed someway an unforgettable night to remember. Facing the perfect storm? It worth the prise.
