Roxie Noise
… and the good news is that it isn’t even proper noise! I was really surprised at the first listening of “New Limerent Object”, the lastest work of Marilyn Roxie (guess I’ll have to check the previous “The best of the beginning”), since I expected a whole dark jungle of conceptual dling dlong experients with no space for melodies and technique at all. Guess what? Marilyn Roxie is not only a passionate editor, but a real baby genious! Piano and his lil’ vintage keyboards bros are the real main characters of the album, full of dreamy suggestions bouncing like echoes from 70’s psycadelia (Pink Floyd, Brian Eno) to big anime scores (Each time a synth starts I suddently think of Joe Hisaishi and its Nausicaa soundtrack).
The other ace thing I couldn’t fail to notice is the impressive quality of sounds, leaving the experience of the Tomorrow Never Knownian “Seagull Room” and “感嘆符” a must for my ATA Headphones.
What can I say. I’ll try hard to force myself to didengage the loop button from “Idea leuconoe” and listen again to the rest of the album. I know that there’s more than a Tiersen emule in there.

Cool tune. The beat made me think of Summertime Clothes from Animal Collective.
