Artist Feature: Natural Snow Buildings
Have you ever heard music that effected you spiritually? I’m not necessarily referring to music that is made with religious intent, but music that seems to register on a profounder level than more commonplace listening material. This is how I feel about Natural Snow Buildings. (more…)

Losing my indietracks
“Well, that was just about the most perfect weekend of ever!” – Another Form of Relief.
… and I F*CKIN MISS IT! Yes it is! I lost the train! And not just the average train… the catchiest of it all! Yes man, betyourass ma’ams, I’m talking about INDIE TRACKS 2009. The great blues of the too-far-gone train is already strolling its sad nostalgic notes on everyone’s streaming playlists… (more…)

The Andersen Tapes
It’s a pleausure releasing this little interview the day “The Andersen Tapes” put a new song on TheirSpace. Each time this indie blond guitar pop band from Sweden give us a new song it’s just like being more connected to their secret distant world. “All you need to know” is that there’s a new surprise in sounds ready to delight your afternoon away. Said enough. Their “Turn to speak”. (more…)

Baby Shannon
I came through Shannon Stephens sweet gentle melancolic music thatnks to Miranda Lange, a friend of mine from Chicago. She’s a kind of ufficial/unofficial voice for so many acclaimed bands such as Cocorosie and Calexico. From time to time she feeds me with some interesting news, and Shannon was a delight not to be missed, like some unespected breathe of chill on an August night. (more…)

Side Up, Mr Nutini
Unlike some of his fellow popular singer-songwriters, Paolo Nutini has not just stuck to the same style of acoustic-based radio-friendly pop songs for his second album, “Sunny Side Up”. Instead, he has thrown a mixture of genres and influences together to come up with a record that sounds genuine and full of heart and soul. (more…)

Feeding The Waves
Probably not all of you have heard of a man called Darren Hayman, still I bet the most indie-fanboys out there reading this blog are more familiar with a band named Hefner, someway quite a cult for not so many pop-snobs listening to bands that don’t evene exist. The most impressive feeling that I got interviewing Darren is… that he is actually fucking nice! An ideal neighbourgh, let’s see what he’s got to say… (more…)

Thomashead
“For one day I wanna drown in your precious arms, I wanna listen to the siren songs, she got me down, into the water, as you got me wrong”
Thomas Feiner is cool sounds from Gothenbur. Yet yes, no. We’re not talking about the next indie band from a coloured little room.

The Carreras: Viva La Vivian
I waz young I didn’t have change in my head”
It’s good to be young. There’s a new universe to discover outside, and it’s sweet to look back at those fresh days where everything is a new discover and the World is a oyster full of obscure promises not too far out of touch. That’s the force and the weak point of “The Carreras”, one of the most interesting promises from Glasgow crazy enough to have an interview with us. (more…)

How Does It Feels To Be Genius
Brookling seems to preserve a handful of some other real good surprises. Or so it seems. One little smart one is that there seems to be sign of cleaver indie bands in town, and one of the… is “This Boy is a Genius!”. Their happy happy pop is just as sparkling as irresistible, and I was so proud Jason K agreed to do this little interview. Take it away (and don’t forget to check their Space and leave them a message) (more…)

Lights over Philippines
Some kind of gentle indie-pop, the one played secretly in a room of some obscure town just in the inner life of a humble and simple existence just for some friends or maybe a cat, seemed to travel in time from America to UK, from Albion to Sweden, finally leaving its last coloured ashes and burned confetti in India and Philippines. One artist above others managed to catch my attantion for its secret world and its songs so sincere. The name of this so called project it’s “The Fantasy Lights”. We had a little talk with Patryk Gwyn (more…)
