These boots were made for SleepWalKing
Moking Georte Harrison, I would say that this year has been a “long hot lonely summer”. Don’t know by you, but here in Italy it was a boredom of unhappening things. America has its Aerosmith, Bat for Lashes, Elvis Costello gigs, Europe had its IndieTracks, but here in Italy August was just a long wait to see Diaframma playing in a theater before the perfect flood broke in carrying cats and dogs with it. I know of girls planning their style for every single parties even a month before its date. Well dears, it’s time to pull in your kinky boots!
Don’t know about you, but I really missed the cold season and the dark wave post punk mood cast on my weekend night outs, I might be not the most fashionable one in the hall, still I’m ready to roll!
Covo Club, in Bologna is having a particular intense line up, kinda compensation of the lack of interesting gigs the year before in favour of DJ’s selections. There’s nothing wrong with them, just I hope they realized that not everyone are willing to move from all Nord Italy just to see them putting some music on and dance. I mean, that’s a basic part of the night, but it’s called “The second half”.
That’s why a lot of people tomorrow we’ll be right there to see The Cinematics, and will come back to see The Fiery Furnaces, The Rakes and The Rumble Strips, the perfect choices to get a party started. Chris Garneau is stuck between Cesena and Munich too (he will play in Münchner Funkhaus, Officina 49 and El Lokal, Zürich) and the legendary Jonatan Richman will kick a fews too!
With a winter like that summer will be hardly missed. Are you ready boots? Start dancin’!.
