Lost Season 6. Everybody’s awaiting for it. Out of the fog, Into the leisure
It was a strange night indeed. Me and my friends awaited The Leisure Society concert with a great anticipation, as we all were impressed by their genius and complex arrangements combined with such soulful and touching melodies. No wonder that the project is de facto a superband of professional musicians starring in different bands, actor and independent filmakers. (more…)

Lov & Devotion – Sara Love Live report
Sara Lov had an extensive tour on Italy. No wonder to be acknowledged that she actually lived in that country for a long time. A chanteuse with an impressive control and consciousness of her voice, Sara had her little big time with the dreampop band known as Devics, but know she’s back on the saddle thanks to a charming version of y2k-u2 Arcade Fire‘s “My Body Is A Cage” (finally no tummycramps and we get to understand lyrics). Skinning Bears With Redwing Blackbird
The Sumner Night Chapel in Keene New Hampshire was packed to the point of standing room only with the faithful, on Saturday 1/16/10, for the release of NH based Redwing Blackbird’s new album, That River Skinned A Bear. Joining them, with an amazing story, was veteran yarn weaver Sherwin Sleeves and a performance by the fantastic Vermont based folk duo Red Hart The Ticker. A solo performance by banjo and guitar wielding wonder Sam Amidon rounded out the evening. (more…)

Sally can dance!
I have to admit that I was quite surprised when I had the pleasure to listen to Sally Shapiro song. The power of her brilliant and tender retro tunes, produced with cleaver care and attention by Johan Agebjörn, persuaded me to feed the tide of a Neo Italo Disco movement, after this chanteuse from Sweden managed to get such good results right some years after a first attempt to relive eurobet by the Japanese Tommy February6. Can’t hide all my enthusiasm in having Sally to answer to some questions of mine. Here she goes.

Kings of a free mp3 world: Helmut & The Call
It happened quite often I found myself arguing with some friends when Weezer will get back to make a great album just like the old days. I’m still personally a fan, and I keep enjoy each of their new fresh and poppy realeases, still my friends tell me I’m not (a fan) and Cuomo is just capable of digging its way in new levels of dull garbage the band should be only ashamed of. Tired to wait for redemption? (more…)

The black hollies: don’t be afraid to ask!
Having the honour to interview great international bands, gives you the opportunity to get in touch with the broadest spectrum of personalities ever, jumping from popsters taking themself so unbelievably seriously, to monosyllabic inexplicable would be monks, to modern rock’n'roll Tolstoy ready to share with the enemy their deepest and dark gloomy secrets. Out of our tiny indie
Brazilian top models as opening act, a great discotheque more suitable for the setting of “The Party 2010 version”, a wide stage with a service staff and equipment that would have satisfied Bono and company? Is this still indie music? Yes ya bet, at least since Tiny Tide‘s the band on stage. (more…)

Just Digits? Smooth electroinca from Canada
What did you get for Christmas? As for me the only gift under the sofa (we didn’t even make a three in this house) was “Art Brut Vs Satan”, and it was really appreciated indeed, since I’m a big fan and staff… I have to say that the postman knocking at my door some days forward was totally unespected (Mr. Postman it’s the new Father Chirstmas). 6 day riot situation
Out there – just while you’re sitting in front of your monitor like a brainwashed gibbon clicking random buttons on your keyboard – is a youthful word full of blokes starting bands teaching their mates out to rule the scene through do it yourself media marketing and improvised shows. They are brand new talents waiting to be discovered, trying just to express yourself and living the moment. (more…)
