Lov & Devotion – Sara Love Live report
Sara Lov had an extensive tour on Italy. No wonder to be acknowledged that she actually lived in that country for a long time. A chanteuse with an impressive control and consciousness of her voice, Sara had her little big time with the dreampop band known as Devics, but know she’s back on the saddle thanks to a charming version of y2k-u2 Arcade Fire‘s “My Body Is A Cage” (finally no tummycramps and we get to understand lyrics).
Armed with an american piano player (hey! It was his birthday! Let’s have him singing a song for the enchore while everyone has turned away!) and a fine native violin player, Sara Love great taste for song structures, arrangements and singing was not a surprise. I know it’s not indie at all, but she had a S.O.U.L. and something to say, a lesson that any local band from the neighbours playing against boredom for quick popularity should really get to learn. What about that brave face arguing on a noisy audience from the stage? A little detail. We’re still working on it.
