Messer Chups invasion
It’s really hard to tell what life will bring to your night outs. As for me this week I deserved a vampire russian band doin’ garage surf with a lot of old b-movies references. The funny thing was that when I tried to explain what happened to me the night before at Lego Club in Cesena, I was the one looked up to just like it was ME being the alien!
The name of the band is Messer Chups, and I first eard about them thanks to a girl I know who’s really into vintage stuff and odd things dealing with the early ’60s and stuff. With something like more than 30 albums of cover and original material with this line up and the side synth project “Messer für Frau Müller” , the band seems to come directly from the early years of rock’n'roll history having been successful in gaining immortality through bloodsucking and other obscure rituals.
Blame it on the sexy shapes of the living action figure of bass player ZombieGirl “Vampirella” and the unfailing guitar of Oleg Gitarkin, the place was OVERCROWDED, and the band gave us a hell of a delighful night, almost 100% instrumental danceable tunes with some exciting covers from Hot Butter and The Shadows.
If the vampire comes to your town on their long tour over the World, be sure not to be missed by their rock’n'roll bite.
