Tip #2 – Get it Out There: Upload and Tag Everything on Last.fm
Tip #1 – Establish Yourself Online had to do with setting up a website and social-networking profiles for your material. This is an area that you, and/or who’s in charge of managing your sites, will want to continue to improve (adding widgets, adding contacts, occasionally changing up the layout, adding songs, keeping news updated, and so on).

Making a Case for the Horrors
The Horrors‘ newest release “Primary Colours” is one of a select few albums I have bought physical copies of this year, the other two being the new “War Sucks EP” from Spectrum, on vinyl, and the Natural Snow Buildings / Isengrind / TwinSisterMoon 2CD “The Snowbringer Cult” (which actually came out in 2008). The Horrors had made their new album available to listen to a week in advance on their website and at the NME, not long after it had leaked (you can still listen to it for free- I’ve embedded the code from their website at the bottom of the article). The initial press response seemed overwhelmingly positive, though, sure enough, the naysayers began to appear…

What Will Replace MTV?
Traditional radio listeners are switching to satellite radio and on-line listening options like Last.fm, Pandora, and Live365. Increasing numbers of music fans from around the world know to crawl Pitchfork, MOG, Hype Machine, and Elbo.ws for tracks from their favourite artists, news, and to get new recommendations. The on-line versions of music magazines like Rolling Stone and NME are being favored over their in-print counterparts. So, where does this leave music videos?
